Experiential learning the scientific writing process

Experiential learning immerses learners in practical experiences to master core competencies such as teamwork, feedback, critical thinking, communication and self-reflection. For a D-MAVT experiential learning course on the topic of scientific writing, we have produced an animated, explanatory video, ten gifs for the Moodle course and an illustration in the style of a “choose your own adventure map” to provide an overview of the course structure.

Production process

Animated GIFs for Moodle

On Moodle, students navigate a “choose-your-own-adventure” style journey, enhanced by GIFs that bring the content to life. These GIFs illustrate key steps in the scientific writing process, offering engaging snapshots of complex concepts. By incorporating dynamic visuals, the GIFs make the learning experience more interactive, helping students grasp important points with ease as they progress through the course’s different scenarios.
